Board Director (Buying) Nick Burcher

Nick is a member of the Zed Management Board and now has overall responsibility for the Search Engine Marketing team. He has been with ZenithOptimedia group for over 10 years and has worked on a wide range of clients in a number of different areas.

Prior to joining Zed, Nick worked in the press department of ZenithOptimedia. Working on accounts such as MG Rover, O2, Columbia-Tristar and HP enabled Nick to gain experience of a wide range of client sectors. During this time Nick also held responsibility for implementing and project managing the huge Rugby World Cup sponsorship deal that O2 ran with the Times in 2003, co-ordinated Rover's support activity for their Olympics sponsorship and won a Campaign Gold Award for the launch of the MG TF. Nick also became involved with the strategic planning on a number of accounts and delivered a high volume of innovative projects and media firsts.

In 2003 Nick moved to Zed media to oversee the Zed print buying teams and held overall responsibility for the successful delivery of offline / 'traditional' campaigns (national press, magazines, inserts, doordrops and 3rd party inserts). Working across a variety of clients Nick was able to develop strong direct response knowledge to complement his knowledge of branding.

In 2004 his role was expanded to include responsibility for the development of integrated trading and delivery of cross-media deals - succeeding in delivering a range of these with publishers from the BBC through to the Telegraph.
